Day 1 – Panama City, Panama
Transfer from the Panama City Airport to Colón and board the Pacific Explorer.
Day 2 – Portobelo, Panama
Take a guided tour of this city founded by Christopher Columbus. See a special performance of the Kuna Indians. Visit an old Spanish fort. And explore a mangrove forest of the Duarte River.
Day 3 – Panama Canal
Transit the incredible Panama Canal – a journey of over 50 miles through one of mankind’s most incredible achievements.
Day 4 – Darién Jungle
Be welcomed into the homes of the Emberá people in a village on the coast of the Darién Jungle.
You’ll laugh, dance, and take away memories to last a lifetime.
Day 5 and 6 – Coiba
National Park
Spend two days in this spectacular UNESCO World Heritage site. Swim and snorkel thorugh crystal-clear waters. Watch for an incredible 147 species of birds. Kayak at spectacular Granito de Oro Island. Visit prison ruins at Coiba Island. Then take a spectacular stroll to the south end of the island, all but untouched by human.
Day 7 – Golfo Dulce
Explore the exquisite gardens at Casa Orquideas (Orchid House), where you’ll view a massive collection of tropical fruit trees, bromeliads, cycads, palms, heliconias, ornamental plants, and more than 100 varieties of orchids. In the afternoon, take a stroll in search of toucans and monkeys.
Day 8 – Corcovado Conservation Area
Discover a pristine rainforest, populated by endangered species, including puma, tapir, poisen dart frogs, crocodile, jaguar, and marine turtles. Be amazed by 400 species of birds, 500 species of trees, and Costa Rica’s largest scarlet macaw population. And picnic on the beach, weather permitting.
Day 9 – Manuel Antonio National Park
Spend the day in this park consisting of 3 magnificent white-sand beaches running up to amazing jungles. Enjoy an unforgettable nature walk in search of monkeys, iguanas, agoutis, sloth, and the rare turquoise cotinga. Search for treasures in the small shopping area or just soak up the sun.
Day 10 – Los Sueños/San José
Disembark in Los Sueños and transfer to San José Airport for your flight home
