Baumgart Joins AAA MountainWest
Helena, Mont. 2/22/11 – Betsy Baumgart of Helena has joined AAA MountainWest, located at 2100 11th Avenue, as the Director of Travel Sales and Operations. Baumgart will oversee AAA’s eight travel agencies, work closely with AAA’s preferred travel vendors, and be responsible for the overall development and growth of travel services throughout the MountainWest region.
“I am thrilled to have this opportunity to broaden my experience in the travel industry and to also utilize my experience and knowledge of tourism promotion and marketing,” said Baumgart.
Baumgart comes to AAA with over 24 years of experience in the travel and hospitality industry. Most recently she served as the Travel Director for the State of Montana. During her time there she spearheaded the development of a successful statewide tourism brand resulting in a new marketing strategy which achieved increased awareness of Montana as a vacation destination. She has also spent many years in hotel/motel management and was recognized by American Express Travel for Best Practices in Hospitality Management.
