AAA  LAUNCHES  STUDENT  MEMBERSHIP

Helena, Mont., (August 15, 2011) – AAA announced Monday that they have launched a new membership level specific for college students called AAA Student. This new membership level is available for students ages 17 to 24. AAA has included several unique benefits at this membership level which are designed to keep students safe.

“AAA is very proud and excited to announce AAA Student,  a product that we’ve designed to meet the specific needs that students have while in college” Jim Twardos. “Not only does it provide all of the benefits that all AAA members experience, but it includes addition benefits as well. This is a unique membership for AAA. We’re looking forward to proving our service to a new demographic.”

AAA Student

AAA Student is offered at two levels, basic and plus. The cost of this product has been reduced in order to be affordable for college students. A AAA Student Basic membership is $35 per year. A AAA Student Plus membership is $60 per year. AAA is also offering a special; a four-year AAA Student membership can be purchased for the price of three years. “Four years of coverage at a Plus level would only be $180, “Twardos commented.

“When developing the product,” AAA Spokesperson Tara Hanley explained, “safety was a top priority of our benefits.” In addition to the benefits that all members receive, AAA Student offers three exclusive benefits:

Safe Ride

A AAA Student member can be reimbursed for a taxi cab ride up to $25. Each member can use this benefit once per membership year.

Safe Tow

Any or all of the student member’s service calls can be used as a Safe Tow. This service will get the member and his or her call taken to a safe place.

Bike Assistance

AAA’s roadside assistance will be expanded to bicycles. A member and his or her bike can be towed anywhere within a 25 mile radius or back to the service station.

The three exclusive benefits are only available in Montana, Wyoming and Alaska.

“MSU believes that AAA Student is a great product for students, especially with the exclusive benefits that appeal to their needs while enrolled in school,” said Spencer Christiansen, General Manager of Bobcat Sports Properties, the official marketing and corporate sponsorship arm of Montana State Athletics. “And the ‘Cats’ card is something everyone will want in their wallet.”

There are two requirements to qualify for this membership type. Members must provide proof of current enrollment to a college, university or other post-high school program. Students also must be between 17 and 24 years old.
